Cutting or lifting large diameter wire rope and cable in the most hostile environments, under the toughest of conditions and the most demanding of circumstances requires something special.
Allspeeds first developed the Webtool subsea cutting tools over 30 years ago, now the Webtool division specialise in engineering and manufacturing powerful hydraulic cutting, gripping and lifting tools for wire ropes, cables, umbilicals and fibre ropes. Along with the standard range, Allspeeds design bespoke specialist subsea tools to meet the needs of users who demand high quality and total reliability.
Our Webtool range has recently been adapted to meet the requirements on the Nuclear industry, the Nuclear range can provide bespoke solutions for nuclear decommissioning and other nuclear projects. We have worked closely with many companies in the nuclear industry to provide them with bespoke solutions for decommissioning projects.
The full Webtool range is suitable for use subsea at depths of 6000m. The current range have the following capabilities:
Softline cutters are capable of cutting fibre ropes (including Dyneema) and slings. Current models cut up to 135mm but more sizes are available upon request.
The wire rope cutting range is suitable for cutting steel wire rope and tubing with current models capable of cutting up to 190mm (more sizes available upon request).
Grippers are capable of gripping and lifting wire rope and cable up to 190mm (larger diameters can be developed).
Cable Cutters are capable of cutting cables, umbilicals and flexible risers. The current cable cutter range can cut up to 330mm but more sizes can be made available upon request.
The Intensifier offers either a 4:1 or 3.2:1 intensifier ratio and was designed to offer a safe solution to relieving output pressure once the input pressure is removed.
We also design, engineer and manufacture bespoke tooling to adhere to specifications and criteria requested. Many of our bespoke tools have been labelled fantastic innovations and have become an industry standard.
