Webtool Grippers

The Webtool grippers are designed for use with an ROV to grip and lift steel ropes, cables and umbilicals from the ocean floors.

 

Model WGO

  • The WGO series currently have a maximum Ø190mm jaw capacity
  • Secondary locking system ensures that gripping force will not release during lifting
  • These tools operate hydraulically, with mechanical locks for backup when required.
  • Gripping tools are useful for collecting disused wire rope or cable from the ocean floor before laying new.

 

Current WGO range:

WGO135 – Capable of gripping steel ropes, cables and umbilicals up to 135mm

WGO190 – designed to grip and lift steel ropes, cables and umbilicals up to 190mm
