Barrels

Millingford Barrels are available for the full range of API insert pumps and tubing pumps for use with metal and soft packed plungers.

All barrels are precision honed and polished, within API specified tolerances to give an optimum surface finish, and are drift tested.
The bore sizes range from 1” to 4.75”.

Regular Barrels: Made from a low chrome molybdenum alloy steel for use where abrasion is not a factor.
Hardened Barrels: Made from a low chrome molybdenum alloy steel with the bore hardened by a special nitriding process to give a surface hardness of between 58 and 63 RC.
Stainless Steel Barrels
Cupro-Nickel Barrels: Made from an alloy (70% copper and 30% nickel) for moderate to severe corrosive non-abrasive conditions.
Monel Barrels: Made from Monel 400 for extremely corrosive non-abrasive conditions.
